Game Recap

Gaylord’s last game at home was a terrific one. With just 8 players Gaylord rose to the occasion and won in convincing fashion against Traverse City St. Francis for their 14th victory on the season. Cordell Larose led the way with 23 points and 9 rebounds, Kyler McKenzie had 12 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals, and Riley Gapinski also hit double digits in the scoring column with 11 points. Tyler Ashley had 5 points and 4 rebounds, Cooper Krajniak had 4, Griffin Lompra 3. “St. Francis had some big, strong bodies on the floor tonight, but I thought we played aggressive and physical for 4 quarters, and I am very pleased with our team’s hustle, effort, and heart that we displayed tonight. It’s always nice to win your final home game, and we played some really good basketball at home tonight. We only had 8 turnovers and we forced almost 20 with our defense. Tonight was a lot of fun.”
